Front Door Decor

What is keeping your front door warm now that the holiday season is over and you've packed away all of your decorations? We have had many customers missing that door decoration since the season has passed.
Christmas is no longer the only time people decorate the front door anymore!
People are using all sorts of things to decorate for every season. Wreaths and swags are just a few things that are a great way to welcome your guests at your doorstep. Wreaths out of designer netting are always a popular option, and the possibilities are endless as far as colors, designs, and what you want to add in. I like the idea of switching it up a little.. I had a wreath up during Christmas so when it came time to take it down, I did a swag, just for a little change in shape. Here are some of the wreaths, swags, and flower door hangers we have in store now. Hopefully, these will inspire you to decorate your door for spring if you haven't already!

This 24" wreath was made using 20" Light green basket weave and 6" blue burlap netting. You could take the rabbit off this wreath and it would be perfect for an everyday wreath!

This is an adorable everyday wreath for spring and summer! It is made with 20" lime and white parchment and hot pink banana weave, as well as some of our beautiful printed ribbons!

Another great example of colors that could be used for everyday! This 24" wreath is made with our 20" mud pie netting and our new paper garland, as well as many of our other new spring products!

This jumbo gerber daisies make a simple decoration with a bold statement just tied together with some beautiful printed ribbons!

This spring swag was made using a 9 foot garland looped around to form the shape for the swag. The netting is 20" raspberry mint and 4" turquoise banana weave.

This 24" wreath is great colors for everyday and would be great from summer into fall. This one was made using our 20" copper glamour and our NEW 20" moss green chevron netting.

You know, burlap is being used for everything now - the possibilities on Pinterest are endless, weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties! EVERYWHERE! So when some friends and I started planning for a table theme for a ladies' luncheon, we thought why not burlap? We're mixing it in with vintage pieces, lace, and a little bling just for good measure! :) Working at TMI Gifts, I got nominated for the job of decorating and flower arranging, etc. I immediately thought of some new bouquets we have in stock that would be great for corsages!

I started out with Rose Bouquet in Green/Peach, 18" Twig Herb Bush, and the Sponge Mushroom Stem. I also used a silver acrylic button berry spray for the bling (see picture below).  I pulled the rose bouquet apart so that it would make six corsages, each with one rose. I also separated the twig herb bush into several pieces to work into the corsages.

I pulled the acrylic berry button spray apart and used three of the stems on each corsage. The individual stems are wired, so they were perfect to just wire in wherever needed.

I used our 4" Natural Jute Netting and brown sisal cord for my "burlap look." Also, I threw in a little bit of diamond cut 12 gauge wire. I really like working with the jute, it is soft enough to work well in a lot of different ways, but also holds it's shape well. I cut the jute up the middle so that it would curl and look more like strips of ribbon. The sisal cord is wired so you can curl, or twist, make a bow, whatever you would like with it and it holds it's shape as well.

I grouped everything together, holding the stems tightly, and secured it by wrapping wire around the stems. Then, I wrapped floral tape around the stems to cover the wire and for a more finished look. There are so many possibilities for these corsages, I'm thinking Mother's Day for sure, and using the silk flowers it will always be something the recipient can keep!

Spring is really buzzing here at TMI Gifts.  Things have been busy, as we prepared for our spring sale and design show.  We appreciate everyone who made the trip to see us and hope you all enjoyed your visit.  We had our TMI design show on Sunday to kick off the sale.  Robin and I demonstrated several creations from peacocks to owls and put together tablescapes with some of our new products.  Throughout the week, we had guest designers demonstrating wreaths, centerpieces, corsages, and more!  A big thanks goes out to Jeremy Allison, Cindy Winders, Dan Walton, and Lorie Collum.  We appreciate you coming and sharing your ideas with us.  We will have videos from all of these demonstrations available on our website soon!  We also want to say a big thank you to Mrs. Carla for preparing such a wonderful Italian feast and I know that was enjoyed by all!  We appreciate all of the feedback you all gave us on our comment cards and would love to hear more from you on what you would like to see in our store and how we can serve you better. New products are still arriving daily, so be sure to come by and check out our showroom soon!
