How
to Make a Flower Wreath!
We are continuously trying to find
new ways to use our Designer Netting (also known as mesh). Today we want to
show you how to make a flower wreath. This is a great idea for the
upcoming season’s spring and summer.
If you are like me you want
something different on your door. A
wreath is always great but making a flower wreath gives your door décor a more
unique look. Not everyone has this on their
doors.
First
you want to start out with a 24” work wreath.
These can be found on our website and every picture links to the product
on our website. In this video Brittany
uses a Lavender wreath.
Second
you want to use our 20" X 10 Yards Pink Basket Weave Designer Netting.
Use
this netting on the outer ring of your work wreath.
Brittany folds the netting in half and cinches
the end. Then take that end and secure
it between two branches on the outer ring of the wreath. Now, for the next step you will cinch the
sides to the branches to secure the netting.
Do this all the way around the outer ring of the wreath.
When
you get back to where you started, overlap that branch you started with.
Just
cut the extra ribbon off after overlapping that last branch.
Then
you will need 20" X 10 Yards Lime Green Basket Weave Designer Netting.
This
netting will be the inside of your flower.
Note: We also have this in yellow if you would rather the inside be
yellow. You will use the lime netting the same way. Instead of folding, bunch
it up at the end. Start from the inside
ring this time. You will secure between
each set of branches. Do this until you
get to the branches you started from and then cut off your extra ribbon.
Now
that we have our flower, we want to spruce it up with a bow. In the bow you will use some of the extra ribbon
in Lime Basket weave. Bunch it together
at the end and made one loop on each end.
Then you want to use 4" Burlap in green to layer on top of that. When using your burlap ribbon, make two loops
on each side.
Then take 1.5" X 25 Yards Poly WiredStripe Dazzle Turquoise Ribbon and layer it on top. Loop six times.
3 loops to each side. Cut off the extra ribbon and then place a zip tie to
secure the bow where you are holding it.
You
can then secure the bow into the wreath by the branches or a zip tie.
To
me a zip tie is more secure than the branches. After securing the bow, go back
and fluff it back up.
Now
for the very last thing. Just something to embellish the wreath is a
metal butterfly. This particular butterfly is 12" and comes in 3
styles. Brittany just takes the butterfly and secures it beside the bow
with the wreath branches.
